Some Lomo experimentation

A chance to try out the Lomo post-processing technique

I continue to try different techniques to enhance my fine art work. I use Topaz Adjust 5 software regularly to tweak images and make the boring more interesting. I shot this particular frame while scouting locations for a possible future photo walk in Richmond. The Tredegar Ironworks is located along the James River and features lots of late 19th century industrial machines. If you’re a gearhead, this is the place for you!

What gets you motivated?

Shot during a lens test for my new 100-400mm lens

I notice many of my photographer friends are jumping on the “photo a day” bandwagon as a way to use their gear on a daily basis and keep their creative juices flowing. Having tried that and failed, I’ve resolved to start this photoblog and update it on a very regular basis as my way to keep motivated to do something creative on a daily basis. I hope that readers will find my posts interesting and not be afraid to add their thoughts to the mix. So, let’s get this photoblog started!
